Revolt Motors Releases Affordable RV400 BRZ Electric Motorcycle in India

India has become a hub for innovation in the automotive and motorcycle industries, particularly in the field of electric vehicles (EVs). In recent years, there has been a significant shift in India's urban mobility landscape, with more commuters and enthusiasts embracing electric alternatives to traditional gas-powered machines.

This trend is especially evident in the two-wheeler market, where many people are opting for electric two-wheelers due to their accessibility and affordability. In line with this, Indian e-mobility company Revolt Motors has launched the new RV400 BRZ, the most affordable model in its lineup, priced at just Rs 137,950 (approximately $1,662 USD). For comparison, the highest-priced model in the lineup, the RV400 Limited Edition, retails for Rs 147,950 (approximately $1,783 USD).

The RV400 BRZ is a variant of Revolt Motors' RV400 range of electric motorcycles and shares the same technical specifications as its more expensive counterparts. It features a 3.24-kilowatt-hour battery pack and a 5-kilowatt motor, providing power equivalent to a 125cc scooter. The RV400 has a top speed of 85 kilometers per hour (54 miles per hour) and a range of 150 kilometers (94 miles) on a single charge in Eco mode. However, the range decreases in higher power modes, with 100 kilometers (62 miles) in Normal mode and 80 kilometers (50 miles) in Sport mode.

In terms of features, the RV400 BRZ lacks some of the premium technology found in its higher-priced counterparts. It does not have smartphone connectivity or keyless ignition, meaning riders do not have access to the Revolt mobile app or extensive ride data. However, it does offer essential features such as regenerative braking, a combined braking system (CBS), and a sidestand motor cutoff for added safety. The motorcycle also has a fully digital instrument cluster displaying speed, battery life, and ride mode. Revolt claims a charging time of 4.5 hours from zero to full and three hours from zero to 75 percent.

In terms of design, the Revolt RV400 BRZ maintains its sporty, naked bike styling and is available in five colors: Lunar Green, Pacific Blue, Dark Silver, Rebel Red, and Cosmic Black.
