2024 KTM 1390 Super Duke R Evo: A Powerful and Technologically Advanced Naked Bike

2024 is a significant year for KTM, particularly for the Duke range of naked streetfighters. Celebrating its 30th birthday, the Duke has become a standard in the middleweight naked bike market. The 1390 Super Duke R raises the bar in the hyper naked segment.

The 1390 Super Duke R is the most powerful and technologically advanced model in the Super Duke lineup. It features a redesigned LC8 V-Twin engine with a displacement of 1,350cc, delivering 190 horsepower and 106 pound-feet of torque. The engine has a high compression ratio of 13.5:1 and is equipped with Keihin EFI technology.

The bike retains the signature trellis frame and suspension components from WP. The 48-millimeter WP APEX forks feature Semi-Active Technology (SAT) and provide razor-sharp handling. The bike also offers multiple suspension modes, including Auto, Comfort, Street, Sport, and Rain mode for enhanced safety. An optional Suspension Pro package is available for those seeking the best kit.

The Super Duke R Evo is equipped with Brembo Stylema Monobloc four-piston calipers and cornering ABS from Bosch. It features a large rear tire measuring 200/55 and a front tire measuring 120/70. The bike comes with various ride modes, lean-sensitive ABS, traction control, engine brake control, and wheelie control. It also offers KTMconnect Bluetooth smartphone pairing and a five-inch full-color TFT display.

The 2024 Super Duke R Evo has a new LED projector headlight and aggressive bodywork. It has a bigger fuel tank with a 1.5-liter increase and a wet weight of 441 pounds. The bike is available at KTM dealerships with an MSRP starting at $21,499 USD.
