Italian Exhaust Specialist Zard Unveils New Exhaust System for Triumph Street Triple 765
Three-cylinder engines have long been associated with Triumph motorcycles, and the Street Triple 765 is considered one of the best naked bikes in the industry. Aftermarket exhaust manufacturer Zard has recently released its newest exhaust system specifically designed for the Street Triple 765.
The current-generation Street Triple 765 has a single-piece exhaust assembly, which means aftermarket options are limited to full-systems. Zard had to redesign its exhaust offering for this model, paying close attention to aesthetics, aerodynamics, and optimal air and heat flow for exceptional performance.
Zard's exhaust systems are handcrafted in Italy with high-quality materials. For the Triumph Street Triple, Zard offers four options: Stainless Steel and Titanium, both with street-legal and track-only versions.
The stainless steel version is designed for street use and complies with Euro 5 emissions and noise restrictions. It is a three-into-one full exhaust system with a carbon fiber heat shield, end cap, and left and right covers. It weighs only 7.4 kilograms, more than two kilos lighter than the stock system, and promises a gain of 3.5 horsepower without the need for ECU remapping or tuning.
Zard's E5 homologated exhaust system is compatible with all variants of the Street Triple 765 and is priced at 1,845 euros ($2,008 USD) for the standard titanium finish and 2,055 euros ($2,237 USD) for the black version.
The stainless steel racing version is similar to the homologated version but without the components that make it compliant with Euro 5 regulations. It is much lighter, weighing only 4.1 kilos, and promises a gain of seven horsepower with the stock ECU. Zard is also developing a new ECU upmap specifically for this exhaust system. The racing version is compatible with the Street Triple 765 R, RS, and RS Moto2, and is priced at 1,475 euros ($1,605 USD) for the satin finish and 1,690 euros ($1,839 USD) for the black finish.
Zard also offers a titanium exhaust system, which is a three-into-one setup with a steel catalyst box for emissions compliance. It weighs 6.3 kilograms, 3.2 kilos lighter than the stock system, and promises a power bump of 3.5 horsepower with the factory ECU. The titanium system is compatible with all variants of the current-generation Street Triple and is priced at 2,550 euros ($2,775 USD) for the satin finish and 2,765 euros ($3,009 USD) for the black finish.
The lightest exhaust system offered by Zard is the titanium racing version, which is the same as the homologated version but without the street-legal components. It weighs only 2.8 kilograms, significantly lighter than the stock system, and promises a gain of seven horsepower with the stock tune. Zard's upcoming upmap will also be compatible with this system. The titanium racing version is compatible with all three variants of the current-generation Street Triple 765 and is priced at 2,100 euros ($2,286 USD) for the satin finish and 2,315 euros ($2,519 USD) for the black finish.
